Some of the most powerful passages in scripture are those of prayer. In the story of the Christ's death, we see Jesus praying over and over again, for his disciples, for God's people, for the world, and for himself. Over and over again, the writers of the New Testament bring words of prayer and encouragement to their communities. As we strive to be people of the Word, following in the Way of Christ, we, too, are a community called to pray.
Every Sunday morning we devote a portion of the worship service to lift each other and the concerns of our world to God in prayer. As we gather in Table Talk groups, we again pray with and for each other. ResCov doesn't practice prayer in these ways because it is part of what churches do; our community faithfully and emphatically believes that God is faithful, and will answer our prayers according to God's will.
