Rebuilding Together * Metro Chicago is an organization that provides free home repair to elderly, disabled and low-income individuals on Chicago's south and west sides, as well as some in the southern suburbs. For the past three years, Resurrection Covenant has worked on the homes of families living in the Englewood and Austin neighborhoods of Chicago. In 2010, ResCov will again partner and work closely with a family in Chicago to plan and prepare for a day of hard work.

Rebuilding Together is a very tangible way to serve our neighbors here in the city, but participants will also tell you it is about rebuilding hope for those who need it. Through activities like this, ResCov hopes not only to serve for one day, but to extend our community and begin to build lasting relationships outside our church walls.

This Year's Project

On Saturday, April 24, a group from ResCov will join a family in cleaning and repairing their home. Volunteers will spend time on clutter removal, painting, home repairs, and light landscaping. Volunteers will meet at 6:30am and carpool from ResCov. Transportation provided to the home we're working on. Click here to download Volunteer FAQs (2009).
